Shubman Gill's 269 helped India to reach 587

Shubman Gill‘s magnificent double century of 269 runs was instrumental in helping India reach a formidable total of 587 all out in their first innings against England in the ongoing second Test at Edgbaston.

His knock was a record-breaking one, becoming the highest score by an Indian captain in Test cricket and the highest individual score by an Indian batter on English soil. He received good support from Ravindra Jadeja (89) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (87) as India posted a commanding total.
